About

Meet the Founder of MEPtoday

With more than 25 years of experience in building services engineering, I have worked across design, inspection, value engineering and total MEP solutions in different sectors and across four continents.

My experience covers residential, commercial, healthcare, education, retail, hospitality, industrial, specialist environments and data centre projects. Over these years, one thing has become very clear to me:

Good MEP design is not only about calculations, standards or equipment selection. It is about understanding the whole system.

Every decision in building services affects something else: energy, comfort, cost, fire strategy, installation, maintenance, operation and long-term building performance.

This is the reason I created MEPtoday.

MEPtoday is a platform for sharing practical building services knowledge and helping engineers, students and project teams understand not only what to design, but also why design decisions matter.

Why MEPtoday Exists

After many years in design and construction environments, I believe it is now vital to transfer practical knowledge in a more structured and useful way.

Many project problems do not happen because people lack effort. They happen because teams do not always share the same understanding of the system.

A designer may focus on compliance.
A contractor may focus on installation.
A client may focus on cost and operation.
A manufacturer may focus on product performance.
A project manager may focus on programme.

All of these views are important, but they need to be connected.

MEPtoday aims to help project teams build that shared understanding.

The goal is to support better thinking across the whole construction and building services industry — from apprentices and junior engineers to senior designers, contractors, project managers, directors and CEOs.
